  • Proven experience designing and building complex workflows and lifecycle events, integrations (e.g., Workday and other HR systems), and complex Journeys.
  • Hands‑on experience implementing Now Assist for HRSD (configuring skills, tuning results, and managing AI indexing/governance).
  • Track record of owning HRSD implementations or major releases end‑to-end (design, build, test, deploy, and hypercare).
  • Proven experience with EC Pro experience design (topics, taxonomy, audiences, page design) and setting platform standards, as well as mentoring junior and mid‑level developers.
  • Strong capability in solving complicated client‑ and server‑side scripts and performing code reviews for others.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to shape requirements, refine epics and user stories, and translate them into end‑to-end solution designs for HRSD, Employee Center Pro, and related capabilities.
  • Own the configuration and customization strategy for HRSD (case management, lifecycle events, knowledge, HR services) and Employee Center Pro experiences, including catalog design, topics, taxonomy, and portal information architecture.
  • Design and implement complex, high‑quality configurations and scripts (e.g., advanced business rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer and subflows, UI policies, client scripts) that support scalable, performant, and maintainable HR workflows.
  • Provide technical leadership across the team by reviewing designs and code, ensuring adherence to development standards, security practices, and architectural guidelines.
  • Define testing strategies for HRSD and Employee Center Pro changes, including effective use of Automated Test Framework (ATF) and other tools to ensure stable, regression‑safe releases.
  • Ensure high‑quality technical documentation for solution designs, configurations, integrations, and run-books, and drive consistent documentation practices across the team.
  • Lead the monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex incidents, defects, and performance issues related to HRSD, Employee Center Pro, and integrations, focusing on root cause analysis and long‑term remediation.
  • Lead the design of integrations between ServiceNow and Workday (and other HR/enterprise systems), using IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, and enterprise integration patterns to enable accurate, timely, and secure data exchange.
  • Partner with integration and data teams to define secure, resilient integration architectures that support HR lifecycle events, data synchronization, and downstream reporting and analytics needs.
  • Proactively identify and prioritize opportunities to automate manual HR processes and orchestrate end‑to‑end workflows that improve employee and HR productivity, aligning with product and platform roadmaps.
  • Stay current on ServiceNow releases, HRSD and Employee Center Pro capabilities, and platform leading practices; drive adoption of new features and enhancements aligned to HR and enterprise roadmaps.
  • Play a key role in agile ceremonies within the HR Product Team (e.g., backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews), influencing prioritization, estimates, and technical trade‑offs.
  • Define and evolve platform standards, reusable patterns, and governance for HRSD and Employee Center Pro, and ensure they are understood and followed across the team.
  • Champion a user‑centric mindset by leveraging analytics, feedback, and design input to shape experience strategy and iteratively improve HR experiences across the portal, mobile, and other channels.
