About The Position

The Silicon Solutions Group (SSG) is where innovation meets impact. Our mission is to craft outstanding GPU CPU and SoC products that power Artificial Intelligence, Gaming, Virtual Reality, Autonomous Vehicles, Enterprise Servers, Visual Computing, Home Entertainment, Datacenters, Servers, Automotive, Embedded Systems, and more. From silicon design to software integration and final deployment, we drive NVIDIA's success in multiple market segments. Here, you'll find an outstanding opportunity to collaborate across the company, craft the future of technology, and advance your career in a role of significant influence. Our journey begins at the inception of ideas and extends to defining the products. We strive to push the boundaries of what's possible and make groundbreaking impacts. What you'll be doing: The Senior Silicon Power Performance Engineer focuses on developing and productizing power performance and thermal control mechanisms for all GPU CPU and SOC products. In this position, you will: Actively contribute in multi-functional teams to validate implement silicon power and thermal features Debug power limiting constraints and drive efficient time-to-market product-specific customizations to overcome them Deliver system-level power optimizations spanning across silicon, platform, software, and manufacturing; for products ranging from large-scale datacenters to low-power client devices. Partner with SSG's internal Tools team to further improve modeling & analysis infrastructure , test procedure, improve & implement new methodologies. Work alongside system architects, chip and board designers, software/firmware engineers, Design/Power architecture engineers, Product Definition Engineers, ATE engineers, in a creative, high-energy work environment to bring industry-defining products to market What we need to see: BS or MS in EE, CE, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in product performance and power measurement, debug and analysis. Background with implementing system-level features, perf per watt optimization techniques, thermal policies, and data analysis and statistics tools. Experience with System-level silicon bringup and validation, DVFS, power characterization and modeling, performance analysis and optimization. Exposure to digital design, circuit analysis, CPU/GPU/SOC architecture, PTPX, process technologies and transistor/device physics. Background with Power correlation and modeling, lab tools (like DAQs, Oscilloscopes, analyzers), HW/SW power management features. Experience working with offshore teams is required. Ways to stand out from the crowd: Strong collaborative and communication skills, specifically a shown ability to effectively guide and influence within a dynamic environment Strive to be a standout colleague and be ready to work with global teams from diverse cultural backgrounds in a high energy environment Background in gaming, automotive, and datacenter market segments is a plus NVIDIA is widely considered one of the world’s most desirable technological employers. We have some of the world's most forward-thinking and dedicated people working for us. We want to hear from you if you're creative and passionate about developing the best silicon solutions.
