As a more experienced team member, the senior developer is also responsible for taking leadership roles in projects as well as devoting time to assisting and mentoring developers and junior developers. Requirements
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or software engineering, and/or 5+ years equivalent work experience.
- Working technical knowledge of:
- .Net 8
- Angular
- JavaScript
- Bootstrap, CSS, HTML
- TSQL
- PostgreSQL
- Experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps a plus)
- Hands on experience working in integrated development environments
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases and data structures.
- Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
- Operational experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle
- Be flexible and adaptable in learning and understanding new technologies.
- Have strong written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Be able to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
- Be highly self-motivated and self-directed.

Responsibilities
- Assist other developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications.
- Works with end users to determine requirements.
- Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects.
- Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.
- Research and document requirements of software users.
- Acts as a lead on software development projects with other developers
- Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
- Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to project and development specifications.
- Monitor software performance of new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
- Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
- Work with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
- Act as a lead and/or provide guidance to junior software developers and research assistants.
- Perform code reviews and other software QA for other developers
