The Walmart Item Orchestrator team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic and talented group. You'll collaborate with passionate engineers to deliver a top-tier site experience that scales to handle millions of queries per second across billions of items. As a team, we innovate and build features on technologies such as Java, Rust, reactive programming, Kafka, Cassandra, caching, Resilience4J, and Kubernetes. Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing. Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and development innovation. Participate in solution design, evaluating trade-offs and ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable systems. Conduct code reviews, debugging, and defect management to maintain high-quality deliverables. Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes. Monitor application performance and support continuous improvement through proactive testing and observability.
