Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack, Assistant

About the position

We are a product-focused engineering team responsible for building and evolving the Data Intelligence Platform at Databricks. Our mission is to empower our customers to accomplish more, faster by delivering cutting-edge AI-driven features. We develop AI-powered productivity tools, including: Databricks Assistant - A conversational AI for seamless assistance throughout Databricks. Ghost Text & Intellisense - Smart code completion and inline suggestions. Automated Error Correction & Query Optimizations - AI-driven code fixes and suggestions for higher efficiency. AI-powered no/low-Code experiences - Enabling users to interact with data without deep coding expertise.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end execution - From ideation to production, you take responsibility for delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Thrive in fast-paced environments - Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and building AI-powered features that make a difference.
• Bring strong TypeScript expertise - Designing, testing, and optimizing large-scale, performance-critical applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Passion for user experience and design and a deep understanding of front-end architecture.
• Comfortable working towards a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
• Motivated by delivering customer value.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or VueJs/Ember).
• 5+ years of experience with server-side web technologies (e.g., Node.js, Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, Go).
• Good knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with cloud technologies, e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
