Senior Software Engineer in Test

LUUMOakland, CA
12h$160,000 - $200,000

About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test with strong experience in simulation and test development for robotic systems validation and a passion for the real-world application of robotics and AI in beauty. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape our testing practice from the ground up. This includes architecting, building, and scaling our quality systems as we grow. Our engineering team is lean but experienced so this opportunity will give you the chance to make significant contributions to the evolution of the company and technology. The LUUM Robots feature an array of highly customized actuation and machine vision – both classical and neural network based – to precisely manipulate and attach the tiny extension fibers onto natural eyelashes. In more than eight years of development, we’ve assembled many of the pieces of this difficult puzzle – enough to provide real services to thousands of paying repeat customers – and now we’re looking to expand our team to advance the technology even further. Our newly deployed fourth generation sytem includes more actuated degrees of freedom and far more autonomy than leading surgical robots, producing an array of engineering challenges unique in the field.
