About The Position

Today, NVIDIA is tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Doing what’s never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world’s best talent. DriveOS is NVIDIA's foundational software platform for automotive applications, providing the essential operating system, drivers, middleware, and tools to enable development on NVIDIA DRIVE hardware. It supports both standard and safety-critical builds, and is designed to facilitate the deployment of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and autonomous driving. DriveOS is the software platform that powers millions of autonomous vehicles and other intelligent machines around the world! It combines a virtualization platform, system software, and acceleration libraries for AI, computer vision pipelines, graphics, and multimedia processing. The system is certified for both automotive safety (ISO 26262 ASIL-D) and cybersecurity (ISO 21434, UN Reg 155), and is being adapted to other regulated markets including robotics, avionics, and medical devices. The Quality and Infrastructure team plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and overall quality of NVIDIA’s DriveOS software and related software development process execution. You will work on modern technologies and contribute directly to the development of tools, methods, and systems that improve the efficiency of our engineering workflows to support growing complexity and ensure continuous quality of the DriveOS product.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, or software tooling.
  • Mastery of Python and a deep understanding of OOP and design patterns.
  • Proven track record of managing enterprise-scale CI/CD environments (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Hands-on experience deploying LLM-based applications in a production environment, specifically employing LangChain, or Agentic frameworks.
  • Experience building internal developer portals using modern frameworks (React, Vue, or TypeScript) to provide a seamless interface for your tools.
  • Expert-level knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts to manage the high-volume metrics generated by our build and test across multiple programs.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing and deploying tools across distributed organizations.
  • Experience migrating legacy infrastructure to modern, containerized microservices using innovative tech.
  • Prior experience in automotive, aerospace, or medical industries where process infrastructure must meet strict regulatory and safety certifications.
  • Expertise in implementing DevSecOps practices, including automated vulnerability scanning and secure supply chain management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of highly available, distributed automation systems , developer tooling and dashboards that drive up and monitor quality of DriveOS builds and releases.
  • Coordinate with different teams to drive infrastructure roadmaps and consolidate efforts to implement tooling initiatives.
  • Work with different tooling teams to integrate LLM-based agents and RAG-based systems into the core engineering workflow to automate complex tasks like requirements analysis, architecture development, code reviews, and safety documentation.
  • Facilitate alignment across Safety, Security, and Quality teams. You will translate their requirements into robust, process automation solutions that meet automotive standards such as (ISO 26262 and ISO 21434) in addition to meeting quality characteristics defined by ISO 25010.
  • Design integrated data pipelines to aggregate telemetry from global systems, providing executive-level insights through advanced visualization and predictive quality metrics.
  • Set the bar for tooling quality and architectural guidelines.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, encouraging a culture of technical excellence.

Benefits

  • You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
