About the position
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Chief Development Office (CDO) within our Chief Technology Office (CTO) and be responsible for designing and developing the developer experience (DevEx) platform in alignment with technology trends. In this role, you will lead moderately complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact. You will contribute to developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines. Your responsibilities will include designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting software products, as well as reviewing and analyzing complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives. You will make recommendations in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions, collaborating with key technical experts and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals. Additionally, you will act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.
- Contribute to developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering and large-scale technology solutions.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for software products.
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives.
- Make recommendations in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions.
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups.
- Act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- 2+ years of programming experience in JavaScript or TypeScript with React or Angular.
- 1+ year of experience with Agile development practices.
- 1+ year of experience in building and deploying UI/UX applications.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in designing and implementing non-functional requirements (NFRs).
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline.
- Experience with UI/UX core concepts.
- Knowledge and understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), SOLID, Static Application Security Testing (SAST), and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) concepts.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives.
- Experience with Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI).
