We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to support and enhance production systems for Prior Authorization platforms. This role requires strong expertise in React, Spring Boot, and Azure, with a focus on stability, performance, and modernization of critical applications. The ideal candidate will lead support efforts, coordinate with QA and stakeholders, and contribute to system reliability and automation. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4+ years in production support
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in React, Spring Boot, and Azure; experience in Java/Python
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (e.g., App Services, Functions, Monitor, DevOps)
  • Experience in application debugging, troubleshooting, and analyzing logs & alerts using tools like Splunk, App Insights, and Dynatrace
  • Understanding of Oracle database and ability to write SQL queries
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud deployments, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with GenAI tools (e.g., CoPilot, Splunk MLTK) & understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience applying them to operational use cases (e.g., anomaly detection, predictive alerts)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Flexible to work off hours including weekends in case of critical business issues (e.g., Priority 1 or 2 incidents)

  • Understanding US healthcare, specifically Prior Auth/claims domain

Responsibilities

  • Production support for Priority 1 Critical business applications like PAS & PANDA ensuring uptime, performance, and SLA adherence through Incident management and root cause analysis for P1/P2 issues, with a focus on proactive detection and resolution
  • Implementation of AI/ML-based monitoring and alerting systems to reduce incident influx and improve triaging speed
  • Support CI/CD and DevOps initiatives and contribute to automation and modernization efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Dev, Support, and Infrastructure to ensure seamless delivery and support
  • Contribute to the design and development of automation scripts and tools to enhance system reliability and reduce manual toil
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement
