Apple's Creative Applications Team within the Vision Products Group is seeking a skilled Software Quality Engineer to help us automate and test a suite of graphically intense and highly interactive applications. Responsibilities
- Define and implement manual test plans.
- Work with a team of engineers and existing automation infrastructure to adapt and expand automation test coverage.
- Monitor CI performance & test results analysis.
- Maintain reporting for test cases and results.
- Drive all the quality work and advocate for quality in the overall Software development process.
- Communicate at a high level and dive into technical details with key partners or leaders.
- Drive communication across multiple organizations, negotiate various asks, and cultivate growth within the team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software quality testing experience in combined manual and automation roles.
- Proficiency in Python, with practical experience in coding for testing purposes.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and software development lifecycle.
- Ability to define/design/develop/maintain test automation tools and frameworks.
- BS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience.
Nice-to-haves
- MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience.
- Experience with real-time and non real-time 3D graphics and rendering experience building.
- Experience with automated image comparison methods and practices.
- Good understanding of image and video quality metrics and evaluation methodology.
- Experience with Apple software ecosystem, including building automation using Swift, XCUI.
- Familiarity with game development and game engines, i.e. Unity or Unreal.
- Exposure to augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) application.
