Negotiate with dedicated EMS providers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may influence work.

Requirements

  • This role requires significant experience in the Sourcing & Commodity Management.
  • 8 + Years or Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience
  • Significant knowledge of Electronics and EMS supplier sourcing

Responsibilities

  • Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of EMS owned Suppliers.
  • Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.
  • Manage claims.
  • Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.
  • Maximize cost savings and drive value thru supplier innovation.
  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within Electronics and strong commercial awareness and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
  • A deep understanding of the electronics supply market is essential, with the ability to proactively identify supply‑chain disruptions, anticipate risks, and build mitigation strategies in advance.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics.
  • May guide others to consider a different point of view.
  • Impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives.
  • Work is subject to functional policy objectives.
  • Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business.
  • Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects.
