About The Position

QinetiQ US is seeking a Senior Space System Acquisition Lead Analyst to support technical space based projects for a government client in the Chantilly, VA. The highly motivated candidate will provide leadership and guidance through knowledge, experience, and their ability to provide subject matter expertise in support of emerging Research, Development and Technology projects, specifically providing expertise with Space based projects. The candidate will help identify critical warfighter needs, initiate new projects, and provide program management and technical expertise in project execution to deliver impactful capability to the warfighter quickly.

Requirements

  • Be familiar with The Airforce and Space Force's Space Acquisition and Integration (ASAF/SQ) organization
  • Familiar with Space Systems Command (SSC)
  • Previous program office experience support to space based acquisition offices
  • Be familiar with Earned Value Management (EVM), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Project for Program Plan development
  • Active TS/SCI
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • 15+ Years of Experience supporting Space based programs

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement acquisition strategies for space based systems, ensuring alignment with Office of the Secretary of War and National Security Council objectives
  • Provide support to space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical support for all project and program stages within the acquisition life cycle
  • Advise and assist the government on cost, schedule and performance matters
  • Support acquisition efforts for advanced technology, future concept development and integration activities
  • Draft, develop and support the presentation of acquisition-related products to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop documentation, including capability documents, acquisition strategies, system specifications, training materials, briefings, and reports following government standards (MIL-STD).
  • Develop program execution plans, to include Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), budget/Spend Plans, milestone deliverable schedules across multiple different performers
  • Lead multi-disciplinary technical teams (Integrated Product Teams etc.) and develop a synchronized weekly battle rhythm with standard due outs, meeting notes, action items and report directly to the government program manager
  • Promote unity of effort across multiple lines of effort to efficiently and effectively manage multiple on-going space based efforts to deliver combat-ready space capabilities to the joint force
  • Provide subject matter expert-level technical and System Engineering support, analysis and recommendations to the Government Program Manager
  • Support the government program manager in tracking commitments, obligations and expenditures of funds
  • Provide Planning, Programming,,Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) support including congressional reporting, fiscal year planning, continuing resolution management and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development.
  • Provide support, guidance and recommendations on technical engagements, including technical design reviews, working groups, and program conferences
  • Build and develop briefing materials at all classification levels to support program manager engagements with internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and recommend acquisition process improvements, risk reduction strategies, develop and identify program risks and mitigation planning
