About The Position

As a Senior Specialist I, Scheduling you will apply deep scheduling and project controls expertise to develop, manage, and analyze schedules across a portfolio of capital projects. You will support project leaders with clear visibility into progress, risks, and performance while helping ensure safe, timely execution from planning through closeout. Location can be Houston, TX Rodeo/ San Francisco CA or Ferndale, WA

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 or more years of experience enabling effective project scheduling and analysis
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft tools, with an understanding of Power BI
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% to support multiple sites field efforts in the Western Region (Rodeo, Ferndale, Billings)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge of project controls, planning and scheduling, and progress measurement
  • Experience applying advanced project management techniques such as CPM, change management, and schedule baselining
  • Skill in project communications management, stakeholder management, and reporting tools
  • Ability to analyze project data, determine trends, and generate insights that improve outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize work processes, manage complexity, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to consolidate and analyze information from multiple sources to develop effective schedules
  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) and Earned Value Management (EVM)

Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and other scheduling tools, incorporating engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Identify project activities, build logic networks, maintain schedule benchmarks, and analyze variances to baseline plans.
  • Gather status updates from engineering, procurement, construction, and discipline leads to ensure accurate, timely schedule updates and reporting.
  • Lead schedule reviews, evaluate contractor progress, challenge execution plans when needed, and prepare reporting on earned value, risks, and milestones.
  • Manage the project review process by providing accurate information and recommendations for stakeholder decision-making.
  • Identify risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints across the project lifecycle, escalating and resolving them as needed.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to support planning, forecasting, and performance evaluation.
  • Coordinate workshops and requirement‑gathering activities to support project scope definition and effective planning.
  • Develop medium‑ to long‑term work schedules across multiple teams to meet business goals.
  • Support project closeout by providing documentation, training, and lessons learned.
