About the position

The Data Science role for Product Analytics combines data-driven storytelling and deep data science techniques to help drive our Product roadmap. The Product Data Scientist will work directly across the Product team and Pricing team to drive the right programs, the right investments and ensure business growth. You will drive analytical decisions for Product. This includes feature analysis, roadmap optimization and pricing investigations. You would also provide expertise on designing A/B tests and be a thought-partner to product and pricing. This role is cross-functional, partnering with Product, Design, Engineering, Pricing, Analytics, and Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Learning the Ironclad ecosystem and historical pricing paradigms in order to be a subject matter expert on the data, analysis, and modeling
  • Creating mathematical and data driven solutions for difficult pricing problems at scale
  • Be the primary partner for the Product Growth team and collaborate with Product, Engineering and Design to understand growth and optimization opportunities and to measure impact of initiatives
  • Owns and drives strategic analysis to guide product roadmap and develop a holistic point on view on product direction
  • Design and develop core business metrics, creating insightful automated dashboards (and the necessary data pipelines) and data visualization to track progress
  • Lead A/B experiments, quantitative primary research and surveys such as NPS from the Data side by supporting experiment design, tracking, implementation and owning the final analysis and readout
  • Provide data expertise to all data science team members through code reviews, mentorship and pairing to increase efficiency of the data science team

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data science and machine learning, time-series data, multivariate analysis and causal inference
  • 5+ years of experience in statistical experimentation methods, such as A/B testing, experimental design, power analysis and non-parametric statistics
  • Deep experience in Product and Pricing analysis
  • Experience in SQL, statistical modeling platforms (Python), data modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data science techniques
  • Experience managing analytics projects from creation to delivery, including developing structured solutions
  • Extraordinary communicator and project manager with the ability to prioritize projects and clearly communicate timelines to your team and stakeholders
