About The Position

As a Senior Staff Hardware Engineer, you will lead the development of networking systems from initial concepts through deployment and field support. As a member of the Networking Hardware team, you will work closely with hardware design, mechanical design, thermal design, software, manufacturing and field support to deliver systems which enable the overall data center network. System types include NICs, Top of Rack (ToR), fabric and infrastructure network elements. Systems connectivity includes Direct Attach Cable (DAC), Active Copper Cable (ACC), Optics at speeds from 10Gbps to 1.6Tbps. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience working in a hardware systems design and development technical environment.
  • 5 years of experience in technical leadership.
  • Experience with enterprise networking system development and production.

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead system and hardware design on data center networking hardware solutions.
  • Lead systems bring up and execution of engineering validation in the lab.
  • Gather requirements, define architecture, execute hardware design and product validation.
  • Work with engineering, manufacturing, product, and deployment teams to produce designs and field support.
  • Drive products from concept to production, and support products in the field.
