About The Position

The Senior Strategic Account Executive - Quest is responsible and accountable for all revenue and profitability of bioMérieux’s business with Quest. This individual will manage, develop, and direct a team of sales professionals dedicated solely to bioMérieux’s business with Quest. The Senior Strategic Account Executive is responsible for the short- and long-term vision and strategy that the Quest team will adopt, implement, and deliver. The individual in this role will develop tactics and processes to help the Quest team achieve company goals by delivering increased placements, revenue, and margin, while working collaboratively and cross-functionally to ensure a world-class business experience for Quest.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a business or science-related field
  • Seven (7) years of proven success in In vitro Diagnostic (IVD) Capital Equipment sales experience required including
  • Experience in managing Integrated Health Networks and National Reference Labs
  • Experience in complex selling environments with Key Buying Influences in the C-Suite required
  • Sales management experience with a track record of building successful teams with sustained revenue growth and achievement of business goals
  • Experience in business-to-business and/or corporate account sales experience with a strong understanding & integration of the strategic selling process and contract management
  • Successful experience in territory sales and full knowledge of the product line(s) and applications
  • Functional skills including critical thinking, adaptability, time management, communication, problem-solving and digital literacy.
  • Leading without authority through influence and guidance of others towards a common goal by using expertise, persuasion, and personal qualities to inspire action.
  • Business acumen to understand how a business operates and how to make it successful.

Responsibilities

  • Achievement of all Quest revenue and profitability objectives. Develop, implement, and manage strategic business plans to exceed all revenue and profitability goals.
  • Effectively manages the team directly responsible for Quest by ensuring training, development, and commercial execution to drive the business
  • Creates and delivers both short-term and long-term strategic plans unique to Quest and its market and developed to leverage the unique skill sets of the Quest team
  • Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, and the sales leadership team to create sales objectives and forecasts while driving business to achieve and exceed targets
  • Single point of contract for Quest Sourcing & Procurement, Quality, and other essential Quest corporate departments.
  • Manages sales and profitability data on a daily basis and can effectively communicate details on sales goals, trends, and competitive market data both to company leadership and to the team responsible for supporting Quest
  • Provides consistent updates to the Director of Strategic Accounts on current trends and execution in the US market, as well as business and personnel updates that pertain to the goals and success of the commercial team
  • Collaborates with internal teams, including Marketing and Medical Affairs, to develop and deliver strategies for high medical value communications unique to the specific needs of Quest
  • Manages, directs, and advises all field team support for Quest, including collaboration with CSO in ensuring best-in-class support of all instruments, products, and services at Quest sites
  • Delivers business reviews both internally to leadership and externally to Quest
  • Develops a strategic plan to exceed goals and mitigate any business risks within the Quest organization
  • Demonstrates a detailed understanding of sales accountability metrics and can effectively coach the team on Sales Call Management, Opportunity Management, Pipeline Management, and Forecast Accuracy
  • Provides support to the Director of Strategic Accounts for performance reviews and a developmental plan for each indirect report as it relates to GPS.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of the bioMerieux Quality System and Perform all other duties as assigned.
