About The Position

As ECG continues to grow its portfolio of large, complex public works and commercial projects, we are adding senior field leadership to support both current and future work. In this role, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex construction projects. Partnering closely with the Project Manager, you will oversee field operations from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project goals. Serving as the primary field leader, you will coordinate closely with architects, consultants, and inspectors on constructability and execution, while providing mentorship and guidance to field and project teams to drive consistency, operational excellence, and strong outcomes across multiple workstreams. Requirements

  • 8+ years of field supervision and 10+ years of construction experience managing large and complex construction projects (DSA/public works strongly preferred) with total annual billings of $25M+.
  • Strong technical expertise in construction management, project management, estimating, and site supervision. Able to independently manage a project from groundbreaking through commissioning and punch list.
  • Proficiency in Procore (advanced user and trainer), BIM software, Trimble Connect, and other project management tools.
  • Skilled in creating and updating Gantt chart schedules, tracking submittals, and managing change orders (PCOs/CCOs).
  • Familiar with pre-construction planning and value engineering activities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity, accountability, and professionalism while setting the standards for others.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams, including junior team members, Project Engineers, and APMs.
  • Confident and professional communicator who is able to address teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Strategic thinker who can anticipate risks, plans ahead, contributes to pre-construction planning and value engineering.

  • Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk, hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Field and Project teams to ensure seamless collaboration, operational efficiency, and successful delivery of large, complex projects.
  • Champion jobsite safety and quality standards, proactively enforcing ECG's safety culture, creating site-specific emergency action plans, and conducting daily safety audits.
  • Oversee project planning and execution from pre-construction to closeout, including set-up, logistics, scheduling, and field coordination to maintain project momentum.
  • Mentor and develop field teams (Assistant Superintendent, Project Engineers, and Assistant PMs), ensuring alignment with company standards and operational excellence alongside the Project Manager.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, inspectors, unions, agencies, and adjacent communities to support project success.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors while holding all parties accountable for performance, quality, and schedule.
  • Conduct and/or attend Foreman meetings, pre-task meetings, safety meetings and project staff meetings.
  • Leverage technology (Procore, BIM, Trimble Connect) to streamline project coordination, train team members, and enhance efficiency across all modules (RFIs, Submittals, Schedules, Daily Logs, Change Events, Punch Lists).
  • Prepare and maintain accurate schedules and records (3-week lookahead, Gantt charts, RFIs, ASIs, as-builts, daily logs) including manpower, equipment, and deliveries.
  • Manage project costs and changes (PCOs and CCOs) from pricing through final commitment, negotiating to protect company interests.
  • Collaborate on pre-construction planning and value engineering, identifying risks and providing solutions before they impact the budget or schedule.
  • Coordinate inspections and compliance with building departments, subcontractor inspections, and other agencies to ensure smooth progress.
  • Represent ECG professionally while maintaining confidentiality on financial and strategic matters.
  • Other related duties will be assigned or as needed.
