Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials management, quality or closely related industrial environment or an Associate's degree and 7 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials management, quality or closely related industrial environment
  • In absence of a degree, 9 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials management, quality or closely related industrial environment
  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN
  • Prior experience in a team lead/supervisory capacity
  • SAP experience

Responsibilities

  • The Senior Supervisor, Material Review Board will lead a cross-functional team in the segregation, evaluation and disposition of nonconforming materials.
  • The Senior Supervisor, Material Review Board will ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards, optimize material usage, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Lead and supported initiatives to increase nonconforming material disposition throughput
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to develop corrective actions where possible to return prior nonconforming materials to the supply chain.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making to streamline operations and reduce material waste.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and company standards such as AS9100 and FAA requirements by maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Enables/encourages training and guidance to team members on MRB procedures and best practices.
  • Supported QMRB level increases for seven of nine quality resource coordinators (QRCs).
  • Provided guidance to team members on prioritization of work in support of monthly goals for QN burndown and scrap allotment
  • Supplied data to senior leadership on current QN inventory and monthly plans
