Job Scope: Performs a variety of supply chain generalist functions to ensure customer delivery compliance of their contracted finished goods products. This entails customer service, capacity planning, materials requirement planning, coordinating or purchasing materials (turnkey or consigned), managing inventory, and logistics. Core responsibilities: Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Creates Purchase Orders (PO) for material shortages based on information provided in SAP. Evaluates material shortages using Collective Access & Individual Access in systems. Utilizes Exception Code messages in systems to move items up/out/or cancel PO’s. Schedules delivery appointments. Maintains receiving schedule. Schedules incoming materials in accordance to customer forecast demands. Orders materials needed for production of customer orders. Manages material inventory (date code use by variances against production) Responsible for data maintenance, updating system records and reports for Supply Chain Drive actions to meet Supply Chain KPIs including Days on Hand for Raw and Packaging materials Manage inventory of obsolete materials to minimize impact to the business Initiate and complete Master Data Tasks related to creating new materials as well as extending materials from within company network SAP Super User. Reasoning Ability - must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout detailed written and/or oral instructions. Proficiency in: MS Office, MS Excel and ERP systems. Work Environment: Be able to adjust to different environments Production environment exposure, which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, forklifts, and fluctuations in temperature. Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy and vary in temperature from very cold to ambient or warm in summer months. Some facilities are multi-level and may require ascending or descending stairs. Requirements for this position require the ability to access production and warehouse operations to execute hands-on execution of related activities. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED is required with experience and an Associates or Bachelor’s degree is an asset. Two or more years of Planning and Materials Management generalist experience from a manufacturing environment is required with Food or Consumer Packaging Goods manufacturing experience is a plus. Experience with basic MRP and PO creation. Previous customer service experience preferred. ERP system knowledge and experience required, with SAP experience being ideal. Thorough understanding of GMP’s and safety practices.
