About The Position

Hands-on technical lead for the L2 infrastructure team, serving as the senior point of escalation for all infrastructure issues across managed hotel and resort clients. This role owns the day-to-day technical direction of the L2 team while carrying a full workload of complex systems work including server recovery, Active Directory, virtualization, networking, and Microsoft 365. The right person can independently resolve critical outages, mentor L1 and L2 team members, and keep the team’s queue moving.

Requirements

  • Windows administrator with extensive experience working with Azure, O365 and Active Directory.
  • Strong technical documentation creation skills.
  • Self-starter that exhibits a high level of attention to accurate detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and dynamically prioritize tasks.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with: Server Hardware and system restores.
  • Managing, diagnosing and performance tuning
  • ESXi, Hyper-V and Proxmox
  • PCI remediation
  • Windows Active Directory Environments.
  • Powershell

Responsibilities

  • Handle L2 escalations from IT Services.
  • Work projects for MSP and channel partner customers.
  • Install, configure and administrate Windows Active Directory.
  • Install software, apply patches, manage file systems, monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts from commercial, open source and locally developed monitoring tools.
  • System failure analysis and recovery; insuring the consistency and integrity of file systems.
  • Hardware/software configuration; and management.
  • Provide training to team members on specific areas of expertise.
  • Mentor and train L2 team members to close skill gaps and reduce repeat escalations.
  • Create and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base documentation.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency and or system down escalations. Ability to work multiple shifts and maintenance windows as they arise.
