You will play a crucial role in supporting our award-winning Insider Threat Detection mission. Manages the organization’s computer systems’ workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software Provides technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions Evaluates existing systems and assists with planning long-term strategies What You’ll Need to Succeed Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Administrator Senior must have: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline Experience: 3+ years of related experience Technical skills: Experience with Windows Server and desktop administration, experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration, comfortable working in a multi-vendor network with a large variety of COTS applications, familiarity with layer 2 and 3 networking concepts, experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/ Poly (or eligibility) US citizenship required Role requirements: DoD 8570 IAT II Certification GDIT is Your Place At GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do. The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Experience with Windows Server and desktop administration
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration
  • Comfortable working in a multi-vendor network with a large variety of COTS applications
  • Familiarity with layer 2 and 3 networking concepts
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
  • TS/SCI w/ Poly (or eligibility)
  • US citizenship required
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
