As a Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a global team that will create high quality products that meet rigid safety and airworthiness standards for flight. This Sr. Systems Engineering role within the DAS/FM department of the Avionics business unit will be focused on delivering advanced display solutions to a global customer base, primarily within military markets. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, cross-functional development teams, and program management, giving you exposure to a wide range of engineering challenges and growth opportunities. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Experience in a systems/software engineering role.
  • Experience developing, decomposing, and deriving requirements
  • Familiarity with Python scripting.

  • Python, ADA or MATLAB Simulink Experience
  • Avionics Experience (development or usage)
  • Software Development or Testing Experience

Responsibilities

  • Capture, analyze, decompose, and trace System requirements
  • Develop innovative design approaches that meet customer requirements, cost targets, and product line objectives.
  • Design requirements, software, and test verification, depending on program need.
  • Support teams of software and systems engineers to develop, integrate and release displays software products.
  • Plan team level work and meet schedule, cost, and performance goals
  • Manage program technical risks by evaluating requirements and design aspects
  • Support teams of software and systems engineers to develop, integrate and release displays software products.
  • Interact with a cross-functional team of (including, but not limited to) Engineers, Engineering leaders, Program Managers, Finance, Quality, and Production
  • Willingness to travel (domestic and international <10%).
