About The Position

Sherpa 6, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Integrator supporting a U.S. Air Force unit within Air Mobility Command (AMC). This position requires the candidate to work embedded directly with the unit, supporting integration, modernization, and operational employment of mission systems and C4ISR technologies across AMC mission sets. As a Systems Integrator, the selected candidate will work closely with unit leadership, Air Force stakeholders, and external program offices to ensure seamless integration of current and future systems in support of operational mobility missions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in engineering, information technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar technical or integration role.
  • Should have Air Mobility Command experience (operational, technical, or support roles).
  • Strong background with network architectures and hardware configuration.
  • Experience administering Linux and other server systems.
  • Military experience or strong understanding of Air Force TTPs, especially within AMC mission sets.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot system and network design issues.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical issues and solutions to diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent written communication and reporting skills.
  • Familiarity with RDT&E processes across government organizations.
  • Understanding of government procurement processes.
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • US Citizens required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working directly in or with Air Mobility Command operational units.
  • Understanding of tactical and mobility-focused communications systems.
  • Past affiliation with operational Air Force units, Special Operations, or joint mobility organizations.
  • Ability to configure routers, switches, and bridge disparate networks.
  • Experience with certificate management and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard audio/video systems.
  • Knowledge of military and commercial satellite communication systems.
  • Knowledge of commercial and tactical cellular systems.
  • Strong adaptability to dynamic operational environments.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient mastery of SOF Deployable Nodes (SDN) family of systems equipment and capabilities
  • Facilitate equipment upgrades as required by Naval Information Warfare Center / Special Operations Communications Systems (SOCS) program
  • Provide equipment troubleshooting, training, support, and fielding of all SDN equipment within the Life Cycle Sustainment Management (LCSM) scheduling
  • Provide technical support to all personnel, equipment and material under the Satellite Deployable Node Family of Systems program
  • Interact with differing levels of tiered support teams from different organizations to ensure that hardware and software provides optimal support to customers
  • Provide instructional guidance to supported units as required on how to install, maintain, operate, upgrade, and troubleshoot the various SATCOM and Baseband equipment systems as required
  • Perform access control, routing and switching engineering and configuration for tactical modems and hardware
  • Support interoperability testing with all applicable stakeholders within the area of operation for dedicated assets.
  • Interact with other programs and systems to ensure their dependencies are understood and integrated into solutions
