About The Position

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, reporting directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager, independently manages the full recruitment lifecycle while serving as a strategic advisor to hiring managers and business leaders. This role determines and implements recruitment strategies, evaluates candidate qualifications, recommends hiring decisions, and analyzes recruiting metrics and labor market data to drive process improvements and align talent acquisition with organizational objectives. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist also advises leadership on current and future staffing needs, leads initiatives to enhance employer branding and candidate experience, ensures compliance with employment regulations and internal policies, and optimizes recruitment systems and workflows to deliver cost-effective, high-impact talent solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more (2+) years of experience in the recruiting industry is required, with healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools is required.
  • This position is required to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong skills in attention to detail and accuracy is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting within the healthcare industry strongly preferred; experience supporting senior living is a plus.
  • Familiarity with employment law is preferred.
  • Experience with Paylocity is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to support ATS issues and improve recruitment processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with tracking and analyzing recruitment data to assess key performance metrics is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and experience with HRIS systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer negotiation, while delivering a strong candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Proactively source candidates through direct outreach, cold calling, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Smart Sourcing, other job boards, networking events, industry groups, and social platforms.
  • Determine and implement targeted sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill and high-impact roles based on market data, role complexity, and business urgency.
  • Engage in social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) as well as network with candidates as potential employees, not only when actively recruiting.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to stay informed on talent trends, competitive hiring practices, and sourcing strategies.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to develop and promote employer branding initiatives, including social media content, employee testimonials, recruitment campaigns, and hiring event promotion.
  • Serve as a company ambassador, actively promoting the organization’s culture, mission, and values to prospective candidates.
  • Publish and optimize job postings across platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn, niche job boards) to attract high quality candidates.
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Determine applicant requirements by reviewing job descriptions and qualifications; conduct phone screens and in-depth interviews, verify references, and assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit against job requirements.
  • Consult with hiring managers and business leaders to assess workforce needs, recommend recruitment strategies, and influence hiring decisions based on labor market conditions and organizational priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal recruiting policies, employment regulations, and best practices throughout all stages of the hiring process.
  • Champion inclusion and diversity in the recruitment process.
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites.
  • Own and manage the end-to-end candidate and onboarding experience from initial outreach through start date, ensuring a seamless and positive journey. Partner closely with hiring managers to keep them informed at every stage and create a welcoming transition, and conduct new hire check-ins to gather feedback and support successful integration.
  • Maintain and optimize the Applicant Tracking System and Onboarding platforms, ensuring access controls, permissions, and training materials remain up to date. Provide troubleshooting support to users and evaluate system functionality to recommend improvements based on feedback and recruitment needs.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source-of-hire, and candidate outreach volume using Excel, ATS reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage recruitment expenses to ensure budget adherence, recommending cost-effective strategies and optimizing spend across job boards, advertising, and other sourcing channels.
  • Develop and deliver Talent Acquisition training sessions and materials, and support the implementation of new initiatives to streamline onboarding and enhance the hiring process.
  • Monitor and manage application flow across open roles, ensuring timely review and feedback from hiring managers.
