We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager to join our Product + Portfolio Marketing team and lead strategic initiatives with a focus on data lakes and AI as a core product area, with an opportunity to expand. This role will ensure our marketing efforts align with the technical content and messaging our customers want and need. Technical Product Marketing Managers at Fivetran are up-to-date on the latest market trends, the evolving data and analytics industry, and the latest developments in AI. As part of the Product Marketing team, you will help drive product growth and marketing success through go-to-market (GTM) launches, compelling technical content, and in-depth product knowledge. You'll work closely with Product, Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, Sales Enablement, and other sales and marketing teams to showcase Fivetran's innovative data lake and AI capabilities and engage with personas such as data engineering and analytics leaders, data architects, CDOs, CIOs, and other relevant stakeholders. This is a full-time position that is based out of our Denver, CO office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

  • Create technical collateral specific to data lakes capabilities and ecosystem technologies including architecture diagrams, demos, white papers, blogs, pitch decks and other customer-facing content.
  • Develop thought leadership that translates complex technical concepts into clear value-based messaging that speaks to technical personas.
  • Conduct research on market trends, customer needs, and competitors in our industry to inform product positioning and messaging for Fivetran use cases and product areas, including but not limited to data lakes and AI.
  • Partner with Product Management to deeply understand product features, technical capabilities, and customer requirements and use cases, to help create content like how-to guides, demo videos, case studies, and technical whitepapers.
  • Partner with GTM Product Marketers, Demand Generation, Regional Marketing, and Sales teams to create campaigns, webinars, and events that highlight data lakes as a critical component of modern data infrastructure.
  • Work with Partner Marketing to showcase Fivetran's integrations with data lake solutions and strategic partners through joint initiatives like webinars and technical hands-on labs.
  • Stay up to date with trends in the data industry with a focus on data integration and technical advancements related to data lakes, AI, deployment models, security, and data governance.
  • Serve as a value engineer providing best practices and examples for the incorporation of Fivetran into organization's data stacks and workflows.
  • Represent Fivetran as a product subject matter expert with extensive knowledge of data integration, through in-person events, presentations, and hands-on labs, showcasing our leadership in this area.
  • Support analyst relations via detailed technical insights and validating product development items with a focus on data lakes as a key element of the modern data stack.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product marketing, data engineering, product management, sales engineering, and/or data and analytics consulting.
  • Data industry experience and expertise: Either hands-on work with or a deep knowledge of data engineering with a focus on data integration, data lakes, open table formats (e.g. Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg), data warehouses, data catalogs and related technologies (e.g. SQL, dbt, python, Spark).
  • Knowledge of modern data infrastructure and tools, particularly in relation to data lakes and their role in analytics and storage.
  • Proven experience partnering and coaching across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Enablement teams to deliver impactful results.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of adapting messaging for different technical personas and mediums, particularly those working with data lakes and predictive analytics.
  • Strong project management skills to juggle multiple initiatives and projects, maintain proactive communication with stakeholders, and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to gain a deep understanding of the needs and challenges of data engineers, data scientists, data architects, and technical stakeholders.
