About The Position

The Security Program Manager will lead and drive security initiatives across all phases of the product lifecycle, ensuring readiness for release and deployment. This role requires managing long-term, cross-functional programs with complex requirements, multiple dependencies, and critical security gates. The successful candidate will oversee integrated security schedules, coordinate remediation and control adoption across teams, and align with EU CRA readiness and broader security objectives, including SBOM capabilities, Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) enhancements, and minimization of the product attack surface. You will partner closely with engineering, security, and compliance teams and operate with senior stakeholders to ensure the highest security standards are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in program/project management, engineering program management, or technical program management.
  • Hands-on experience using Jira for program execution tracking, stakeholder reporting, and managing security initiatives (epics, stories, tagging standards, and traceability).
  • Hands-on experience using Smartsheet to build and maintain program schedules and reporting, including security program milestones and cross-functional tracking.
  • Experience in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban/hybrid) supporting engineering delivery.
  • Extensive experience using project and program planning tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet) to create, manage, and track project and security program results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience leveraging execution metrics to drive corrective actions and prioritize cross-team security findings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and the local language.
  • Ability to effectively communicate program plans, security processes, timelines, risks, and results, and to negotiate options at senior management levels

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional security programs across engineering teams to drive remediation, control adoption, and release readiness.
  • Own security program planning, milestones, and delivery tracking across multiple parallel workstreams.
  • Create and manage Jira epics/stories for security initiatives; drive consistent tagging standards to ensure reporting accuracy and traceability.
  • Track vulnerability remediation efforts, including SAST, container/image findings, secrets detection, and hardening activities.
  • Run recurring security execution forums, including remediation reviews and a security bug court to drive prioritization and closure.
  • Manage security gates required for release (scan results, signoffs, exceptions) and ensure timely completion.
  • Own the operational workflow for security exceptions, including intake, documentation, approvals, and closure.
  • Maintain audit-ready evidence structures to support compliance requests and security validation.
  • Coordinate actions across broader Hybrid Cloud teams as needed to ensure cross-org findings are prioritized and resolved.
  • Communicate security process changes, timelines, risks, and delivery status clearly to stakeholders and senior leadership.
