About The Position

Manage a complex program or multiple mid-level programs; generally without assistance Develop and implement program plans, budgeting positions, schedules, and execution strategy Perform specific, routine program or technical tasks within defined scope of management responsibility Perform program/technical management for assigned system(s) Demonstrate competency in the defense acquisition process by interpreting and applying acquisition policy Apply and correlate knowledge of multiple disciplines (engineering, logistics, finance, contracting, and procurement) to achieve execution in accordance with cost, schedule & performance requirements Convert customer or product/technical requirements into solutions that meet technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identify associated risks and manage mitigation plans Manage implementation of new infrastructure, processes and procedures to support avionics production Coordinate with established Supply Chain, Quality, and Purchasing representatives at other sites Provide higher management with status and decision information on key program issues Ensure timely/accurate submission of all reports/deliverables and address contractual needs/concerns Conduct company program reviews, communicating cost, schedule, and performance with management Provide necessary solutions, generally without assistance Coordinate multi-discipline technical experts (electrical, mechanical, software and systems engineers) Manage and coordinate sub-contractors and vendors Manage solutions resolving obsolescence or supply chain disruption issues Support product milestones, such as First Article, Acceptance Test, Environmental Stress Screening, etc. Support proposal and pricing efforts as required Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical, business, or related field required
  • 5+ years of Program Management or associated experience with Government or Industry
  • Experience with systems production contracts
  • Experience with systems development programs
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance required
  • Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
  • Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
  • Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Nice To Haves

  • Department of Defense Acquisition (DAU) PM certification, PMP, or degree in Program Management or equivalent is highly desired
  • Experience managing electronic systems or avionics products desired
  • Active Secret clearance preferred
