About The Position

Kandu, Inc. is pioneering an integrated approach to stroke recovery by combining FDA-cleared brain-computer interface technology with personalized telehealth services. Our IpsiHand® device is durable medical equipment that enables chronic stroke survivors to regain upper extremity function with daily home use. Combining this advanced technology with the support of expert clinicians offers a comprehensive path to recovery–helping survivors improve mobility, independence, and quality of life. The Service Repair Technician will be responsible for comprehensive support for the production lifecycle, from interpreting technical documents and assembling/testing electronic and mechanical components to ensuring final product quality and packaging.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Technician or in a similar role in a medical device assembly environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and diagrams.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs consistently throughout the shift
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and service departments to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve various material, assembly, and service-related issues.
  • Interpret technical drawings/work orders and utilize a variety of tools and electronic test equipment for the precise assembly, testing, and repair of electronic/mechanical components and finished products.
  • Perform quality assurance inspections, manage production line inventory, rework PCBs and custom electronics, and handle labeling, packaging, and shipping procedures.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a clean and calibrated workspace, and documenting all processes.
