About The Position

NJVC is currently seeking a talented Senior Test and Evaluation Engineer to work with our dynamic team supporting our cleared contract at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The Senior Test and Evaluation Engineer is a key participant in technical operations and development to enable continuing innovation for the future success of the program. The Senior Test and Evaluation Engineer shall assist in the designing, planning, execution, analysis and reporting phases of test and evaluation programs (including any applicable FAA certifications and procedures) to assess the performance of aeronautical systems, subsystems and equipment throughout each acquisition phase and milestone. Duties and Responsibilities : Documenting the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational testing. Using Design of Experiments methods to plan and conduct test programs. Independently prepare (or advise others in the preparation of) criteria, computation/analyses, specifications, cost estimates test plans, and technical reports in the specific area of technical expertise. Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problem, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity. Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of test engineering tasks. Devise new and innovative approaches to problems encountered, and accomplish assigned tasks with efficiency, timeliness, and thoroughness. Evaluate the configuration, capability, and operational relevance of test environments and ensure they are properly available for the thorough testing of software releases (e.g. fault insertion/fault identification). Deconflict schedule conflicts between multiple releases, providing high quality analysis and recommendations to the program test lead. Operate with general instructions; but select portions of work are reviewed in detail to measure adequacy of approach, execution, and presentation. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and 10 Years of experience in the respective technical / professional disciple or BA/BS in a technical disciple and 12 Years of experience in the respective technical / professional disciple or 15 Years of relevant work experience supporting testing and evaluation
  • Experience with software application development and automated testing frameworks
  • Secret Clearance required
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it.
