Kipsu is seeking a versatile and passionate Senior UI/UX Product Designer to be a member of our growing Product + UX team. This is a generalist role for someone who thrives on variety and wants to touch every part of the design process, and will be the first full time UX and design hire at Kipsu. You will be instrumental in shaping our user experience, from high-level strategic thinking to pixel-perfect execution of design deliverables. You will be a champion of our users, taking ownership of our new design system, leading design for key product delivery teams (collaborating closely with product, engineering and QA) and kickstarting our formal UX research practice. If you are a self-starter who is excited by the challenge of solving complex problems and building processes from the ground up, this role is for you.

  • Serve as the lead designer for one or more agile product delivery teams, collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers through the entire product development lifecycle.
  • Translate complex user needs and business requirements into intuitive and beautiful user experiences, including user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
  • Own, maintain, and evolve existing web and mobile design systems, creating new components, establishing usage guidelines, and ensuring consistency across all digital platforms.
  • Establish and lead the UX research discipline, planning and conducting user interviews, usability tests, surveys, and other research methods.
  • Turn raw research data into actionable insights, creating artifacts like personas, journey maps, and research reports.
  • Actively participate in product strategy, roadmap planning, and design critiques, championing a user-centered design approach.
  • 8+ years of experience in a UX, UI, or Product Design role, preferably within a B2B SaaS or tech product company.
  • A strong portfolio that showcases design process, problem-solving skills, and a range of projects, including user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI.
  • Proven experience working with web and mobile designs that meet WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Proven experience working with and contributing to design systems, understanding the principles of component-based design.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and conducting UX research, comfortable talking to users and translating their needs into design solutions.
  • Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools, specifically Figma.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to articulate design rationale and present work to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work across multiple delivery teams to drive consistency in design implementation.
  • A pragmatic and proactive mindset, able to manage ambiguity and balance user needs with technical constraints and business goals.
  • Experience in the hospitality or hotel-tech industry.
  • Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment.
  • A basic understanding of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience with user analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Hotjar).
  • Experience in a B2C environment running UX Research interviews and advocating for the user.
