About The Position

The Vascular Imaging Facilitator- Clinical Quality is a hybrid role involving complex project work and direct patient care. This position requires co-leading within a large system team and leading projects at a business unit level, acting as a consultant for regulatory, patient safety, and quality issues within the specialty area. Approximately 70% of the time is dedicated to performing vascular imaging studies, while 30% focuses on departmental projects and quality initiatives. The role involves designing and delivering educational programs for employees, physicians, and leadership to meet established safety and quality goals. This role operates on a Monday - Friday schedule.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of an Associate's Degree is required; a Bachelor's degree in Health Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of clinical experience is required.
  • Must be a Registered Diagnostic Vascular Technologist (RVT).
  • Registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Sonography Technology Program.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), electronic mail, and Internet navigation.
  • Knowledge of the research process and statistical analysis.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and maneuver patient weight (pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Ability to cope with high stress, make fast decisions under pressure, and manage altercations calmly.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and hear clinical alarms.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, interpersonal, and communication skills (both oral and written). Ability to prioritize and adapt in a rapidly changing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of project management experience and experience delivering educational programs are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Imaging & Direct Care: Perform comprehensive advanced noninvasive and invasive vascular imaging exams.
  • Project Management: Direct, facilitate, and coordinate clinical quality and patient safety initiatives and projects. Assess project needs based on regulatory standards and best practices, and develop work plans with documented goals and timelines.
  • Quality Improvement: Research "best practices," design data collection methodologies, and analyze vascular imaging data to guide process improvements.
  • Consultation & Leadership: Provide formal and informal consultation and education on process improvement methodologies and patient safety to all healthcare team members, students, and administrative staff.
  • Accreditation: Maintain direct management of the Vascular Imaging accreditation process.
  • Operational Excellence: Use information technology to mitigate errors, support decision-making, and manage knowledge.
