Position Summary Our Vice President of Managed Care overseas physician credentialing along with developing and maintaining long-term productive relationships with third-party payers, such as commercial and government payers, employers and other payer organizations in NV, WA, TX, & UT. They will also support and manage the operations of a NV based IPA.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of managed care, value-based care, healthcare administration, or payer relations experience required.
  • 10+ years of healthcare commercial payer strategies, pricing, reimbursement, and healthcare cost analysis required.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading high performing, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Multispecialty practice operations experience required.
  • Fee-for-service and value-based care contracting experience required
  • Ability to develop relationships with high-level, decision-makers in the payer, third-party administrator, and specialty practice environments.
  • Ability to influence people, build relationships and collaborate.
  • Proficient in public speaking and facilitating large groups remotely.
  • Proficient in project management software.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Nice To Haves

  • Ophthalmology experience preferred.
  • Master’s in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of managed care and value-based care professionals
  • Develop and maintain payer relationships; identifying opportunities and programs to secure enhanced relationships, reimbursement, referrals, and market presence and support expansion of patient services.
  • Responsible for the successful negotiation and management of payer agreements.
  • Explores participation in new managed care contracts including novel payment models (i.e., case rate development, integrated networks, contract capitation, total cost of care initiatives, and shared savings models) and has a firm grasp on the analytics/practice impacts that support such payment models.
  • Partners with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop an understanding of new technologies, procedures, and therapies and to ensure that costs are appropriately reflected and reimbursed in managed care agreements.
  • Develop and evaluate contracts to optimize pricing and strategically align payer, practice, and physician incentives.
  • Supports the operations of an IPA
  • Responsible for professional development and guidance of all team members.
