The Senior Vice President Business Controls is responsible for ensuring the system of controls within the division are functioning to account for, prevent, mitigate, remediate compliance and credit risk facing the Production lines of business in a manner consistent with the company’s values and the company’s profitability expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure new and existing processes set up within the division to meet the requirements of corporate expectations from a compliance and credit risk standpoint are functioning as intended
  • Verify those processes, including all appropriate policies and procedures are that are established to carry out those functions are updated based on changes in the requirements, change in products or processes, or based on necessary remediations of identified deficiencies
  • Serve as the key point of contact to the executive management of the Production division to address issues that arise or to research questions about the current program, any identified gaps, any proposed new projects, or anything else that may arise that may impact on compliance or credit controls
  • Act as the liaison between the division and corporate compliance/credit/risk management to determine which agency and/or regulatory change events or which examination findings are impactful to the division and determines appropriate actions
  • Deliver reporting to the credit and compliance committee and various other subcommittees and groups, as required
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
