Provides timely and professional service to Wealth Management clients. Defines client objectives; designs and implements portfolios; purchases and sells securities; prepares and performs asset reviews for client; plans recommended portfolio changes; discusses recommendations with clients. Manages portfolios for all types of trusts, dealing directly with beneficiaries, guardians, attorneys, Attorneys-In-Fact, tax professionals, and others. Interprets wills, trusts, and other documents. Co-develops and acheives strategic wealth management goals, initiatives, and objectives. Continuously builds and maintains professional relationships with clients and potential clients. Utilizes sales tools and investment knowledge to increase new business for the Wealth Management Group. Maintains expert knowledge of available products and services which may benefit the client. Performs follow-up customer service to ensure clients are fully satisfied and understand products. Ensures synergy between Wealth Management division and employees, back-office departments and the branch network to generate new business and a successful referral source. Pursues and follows up on referrals as appropriate. Promotes goodwill and generates new business for the Bank by maintaining an active and viable role in appropriate organizations. Participates in civic activities during and after normal banking hours of operation to promote growth and development in the community and creates a positive image for the bank. Represents the bank at designated functions as requested. Maintains expert knowledge and awareness of current economic conditions, especially the capital markets. Adheres to banking regulations and compliance standards, maintaining the highest level of integrity and confidentiality. Abides by all aspects of First National Bank’s policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. Completes other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, preferably in Economics, Finance or Business Administration; or a minimum of eight years of increasingly responsible related experience and/or training in a financial institution; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess the ability to promote high standards of professionalism both within the Bank, as well as in the community.
  • Effectively communicates in English; proficient reading, writing and grammar skills; proficient analytical and mathematics skills; proficient communicative and interpersonal relations skills; ability to build professional relationships and rapport.
  • Proficient PC skills including advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems, Bloomberg, the wealth operating system, internet browsers, wire systems, networking and software used by the bank.
  • CFP/CFA or equivalent including the continuing education credits to maintain such certification.

  • Successful completion of trust school or equivalent preferred.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess a willingness to attend seminars and conferences pertinent to the department.
