About The Position

The Information Technology division in the Department of Accounts (DOA) is seeking a qualified individual for a Senior Web Application Developer position. This particular position is open to current state employees only. It has a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days/week working in the office in downtown Richmond, VA. DOA’s mission is to provide a uniform system of accounting, financial reporting, and internal control adequate to protect and account for the Commonwealth’s financial resources, while supporting and enhancing the recognition of Virginia as the best managed state in the union. This position serves as a Full Stack .NET Developer for the agency’s non-Cardinal development team. The position develops technical requirements and specifications by working directly with the business. They provide analysis of the requirements and translate them into designs. The position codes, reviews, tests, and debugs web applications. The position creates documentation when creating and modifying systems. They provide operational support for all web applications. The position ensures that the applications they develop meet all VITA Security and Accessibility requirements. This position will develop new applications, migrate existing ColdFusion applications to a modern platform, and may address break/fix issues in legacy applications. This position will perform code reviews and will have their code reviewed by peers.
