About The Position

Ping Identity is looking for an SEO (search engine optimization) & GEO (generative engine optimization) Manager to help shape how our brand is discovered and trusted across search engines and generative AI platforms. This role focuses on executing and optimizing SEO and GEO initiatives that align with established team strategy and business priorities. Reporting to the Senior Manager of SEO & Web Experience, this person works closely with Web, Campaigns, and Product & Solution Marketing to influence how content, architecture, and authority signals are built. The role is ideal for someone who takes initiative, collaborates effectively across teams, and drives work forward while partnering closely on direction, prioritization, and outcomes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of direct SEO experience, with 5+ years of related digital marketing or performance marketing experience
  • Experience working in a B2B technology environment
  • Strong technical SEO fundamentals, including structured data and site performance optimization
  • Hands-on experience with GA4, Google Search Console, and common SEO platforms such as Conductor or Semrush
  • The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to non-SEO audiences
  • A proactive working style, with the ability to move work forward and make decisions using imperfect information
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cybersecurity, identity, or enterprise SaaS
  • Experience optimizing content for generative AI engines, such as ChatGPT or Gemini
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows, content automation, or content engineering tools (e.g., AirOps)
  • Familiarity with strategies for increasing brand/entity visibility in third-party sources leveraged by generative AI (e.g., Wikipedia, Reddit, industry media).
  • Proven ability to collaborate across marketing functions to align SEO/GEO strategies with brand and campaign priorities.
  • A thought leadership mindset with interest in testing and innovating within the evolving AI-driven search landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against Ping Identity’s SEO and GEO strategy across traditional search engines and generative AI platforms, ensuring initiatives align with team and broader business priorities
  • Drive technical SEO initiatives, including site structure, internal linking, schema, performance, and indexation
  • Serve as the primary owner and point of contact for SEO and AI-enabled platforms, such as Conductor and AirOps, helping shape best practices and use cases
  • Identify opportunities to improve off-site visibility and authority across third-party platforms and industry sources
  • Partner closely with Web, Campaigns, and Product & Solution Marketing teams to support planning and execution
  • Analyze performance data and communicate clear insights, recommendations, and tradeoffs to stakeholders
  • Drive progress proactively, adjusting priorities in partnership as new opportunities or constraints emerge
