About The Position

This is a full time role for an Independent Contractor or Freelancer who would like consistent work at an award-winning agency. We are offering a rate between $30-35 per hour, with up to 40 hours per week for the contract. If this meets your needs, read on! As an SEO Strategist, your main job is to help clients websites show up higher in search results and AI overviews so more people can find them naturally. This is a primarily client-facing role that has you doing hands-on SEO strategy that drives results. You’ll spend your time preparing data-driven reports using your knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Search Console, creating monthly briefs that are AISEO-driven for B2B and B2C clients. A high level of data analytics skills, experience with SEO content brief creation, and enjoyment of client engagement is a must-have. This role is perfect for someone with client-facing experience, intermediate level SEO skills, and is looking to do award-winning work and grow their career and skills with us over the years.

Requirements

  • Client-facing project experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Screaming Frog to gather data for monthly reports and technical audits, create client reports, and develop recommendations from them
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment, where communication is primarily through Slack and Email
  • Content management experience of choosing SEO, content images, coordinating publication, and pushing content to go live
  • Knowledge of SEO tools like Screaming Frog, Moz, and SEMrush and a desire to learn more tools and tech to support doing work faster and better.
  • Experience using automation tools like Perplexity or ChatGPT (or a strong desire to learn how to scale with AI)

Responsibilities

  • Owning SEO research and keyword audits in support of client work
  • Conducting competitive and market analysis to identify opportunities for ranking and performance
  • Participating in and leading client meetings and daily meetings with team members across Paid Media, SEO, and Account Management teams to develop strategy and content for clients
  • Help us identify areas of opportunity for internal or external growth with the evolving SEO landscape
  • Producing client reports
  • Leading conversations
  • Delivering presentations directly to clients
  • Acting as a team player who jumps in to help when others call on you or you see the opportunity, and solving problems for others
  • Developing your own SEO strategies for your clients in partnership with senior team members, identifying opportunities for client accounts and supporting business growth
  • Supporting AI agent research for SEO task automation
  • Fully own SEO tasks for your client accounts, and provide support to Leads and Seniors when required
  • Identifying opportunities small or large to grow accounts through automation, new strategies, team tactics, or new processes
