About The Position

"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking an experienced Linux Server Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise Linux infrastructure in a secure, hybrid environment that integrates on-premises systems with cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure operational reliability, drive automation, manage containerized workloads, and support infrastructure modernization initiatives through proof-of-concept (POC) projects.

Requirements

• Enterprise Linux distributions
• Pulp or similar repository management tools
• Docker and containerized environments
• iSCSI, LVM, and multipathing
• System services management, SSH, Bash/Python scripting
• Configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform

Responsibilities

• Linux Infrastructure Operations: Deploy, configure, harden, and maintain Linux systems across development, test, and production environments.
• Patching & Lifecycle Management: Oversee OS updates and patching processes to ensure security, compliance, and minimal operational disruption.
• Repository Management: Administer enterprise software repositories with proper synchronization, version control, and governance.
• Containerization: Deploy and manage Docker environments, including image management, security, and performance optimization.
• Storage Integration: Configure and maintain iSCSI storage connections, multipathing, and performance tuning in collaboration with storage teams.
• Proof of Concepts: Lead, document, and recommend infrastructure-related POCs for production implementation.
• Incident Management: Track and update incidents in IT service management systems to ensure timely resolution.
