MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Server Infrastructure Administrator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USCENTCOM. You will play a crucial role in operation, configuration, and maintenance of our organizational network domains. The focus of this role is to maintain optimal system performance, data integrity, and security while supporting mission-critical operations. Maintain and manage the organization's server infrastructure, ensuring workflows are efficient and reliable. Develop technical solutions for the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architecture. Troubleshoot and resolve complex system hardware, software, and domain policy issues to minimize downtime. Perform advanced software installations, upgrades, and updates to operating systems and layered software packages. Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimal performance levels. Ensure data integrity by implementing standard software, hardware, and security solutions. Lead efforts to ensure recoverability of services in the event of disasters. Conduct network audits to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Evaluate existing systems and develop long-term strategies for improvement and modernization. Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions aligned with organizational goals. Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Perform DISA STIG review and implementation. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Administrator Principal must have: Certification: Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification Experience: 5+ years of related experience Technical skills: Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting computer systems, networks, and software. Experience creating and applying group polices. Strong understanding of system workflows, configurations, and architectures. Experience with system backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity. Expertise in system hardware and software troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of system performance tuning and optimization. Excellent communication and training skills for end-user support. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
