About The Position

Berkeley Hall Club is seeking a sophisticated and service-focused Server to provide an elevated dining experience for our members and guests. If you are passionate about delivering attentive, detail-oriented service in a private club environment, we invite you to apply.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a bartending and serving role within a fine dining or upscale environment is preferred.
  • Maintain a well-groomed and polished appearance that reflects the standards of our community.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to engage with members and guests effectively.
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring that every aspect of service meets our high standards.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as our community thrives during these times.
  • Must possess a current ServSafe Alcohol Certification or be able to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Must adhere to all alcohol awareness and safety standards.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often up to 8 hours during shifts.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly, including trays, supplies, and equipment.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to access supplies and equipment behind the bar or in the dining area.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to efficiently handle bar tools and serve beverages.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy environment, managing multiple tasks while maintaining composure and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and personalized service, anticipating member and guest needs.
  • Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions with confidence and professionalism.
  • Serve food and beverages with precision and elegance.
  • Maintain a polished and professional demeanor throughout service.
  • Ensure table settings and dining areas reflect club standards.
  • Demonstrate and maintain thorough knowledge of the Clubhouse menu and daily features.
  • Accurately and efficiently enter orders into the POS system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas in accordance with Health Code regulations.
  • Support the kitchen and FOH team members as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and management.
  • Comply with all departmental and Club policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
