About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Server to join our team. As a Server, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and efficient functioning of our establishment. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a friendly and outgoing personality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Server or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities to handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Basic math skills for accurately processing payments and making change.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including an understanding of ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays or objects for extended periods.
  • A professional appearance and demeanor, with attention to personal hygiene and grooming standards.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Present menus and provide detailed information about the dishes and beverages offered.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders from customers and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Check orders for accuracy and completeness before delivering them to the customers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a polite and timely manner.
  • Upsell additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, or specialty drinks.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following established recipes and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and serving stations.
  • Set up tables and ensure they are properly arranged and have the necessary condiments and utensils.
  • Collaborate with other team members, such as hosts/hostesses and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
  • Process customer payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Follow all relevant health and safety regulations and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Assist in restocking supplies and inventory management, notifying management when supplies are running low.
  • Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required to enhance job knowledge and performance.
