Requirements

  • Previous serving experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant (minimum 1 year preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first attitude
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic work environment
  • Comfortable with using Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a willingness to assist coworkers as needed
  • Able to memorize menu items and make thoughtful recommendations
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours or more)
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb stairs as necessary in a multi-level restaurant environment
  • Must have flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable transportation to and from the restaurant
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a California Food Handler's Certification card and Responsible Beverage Service Certification

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables
  • Accurately take food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system
  • Memorize menu items and make informed recommendations
  • Provide attentive service, including timely refills and regular check-ins
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, involving management when needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and adhere to all sanitation standards
