About The Position

We're hiring a combination Service Manager to join our team at Sunset Ford in Waterloo, IL. Do you want to be rewarded for your hard work, experience, and expertise? At Sunset Ford in Waterloo, IL, our Service Department is growing, and we have the need for a strong working Service Advisor that can also handle Manager responsibilities which means opportunity for financial rewards for you. Previous related experience is required for this position. This position will work as a combination as a Service Advisor and as a working Manager due to the simplistic size of our store here in Waterloo, IL.

Requirements

  • Service Advisor and/or Manager Automotive Experience Required
  • Valid Driver's license and clean driving record
  • Able to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent computer and typing skills, must be fast / good with computers
  • Organized and knows how to help others organize
  • Enjoy talking to people while maintaining productivity
  • Great Customer handling skills
  • Technology / Bluetooth phone savvy
  • Ability to overcome difficult objectives and scenarios with some time constraints - a problem solver
  • Work 45+ Hours each week, plus every other weekend, come in early and stay late when necessary. (7am - 5pm)

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assist them with any inquiries.
  • Document and type each Repair Order to match the customer's requests and concerns.
  • Consult with customers on applicable service specials and present service menus
  • Follow through by proactively calling customers with estimates for repairs.
  • Create typed estimates to be emailed or printed to each guest.
  • Document services declined and ask for follow-up on future service considerations
  • Keep customer informed on completion times, service expenses, and possible changes
  • Create and present repair estimates, dictating immediately needed services and future needed services
  • Remain involved with delivery of vehicle to customer upon completion to assure all customer concerns are addressed
  • Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether by phone or in person, to assure the customer has a positive service experience
  • Build strong relationships with the customers
  • Set and adjust incoming scheduled service appointments based on shop capacity and constraints
  • Dispatch work flow of all jobs to ensure customer time expectations for repairs are met
  • Help maintain a consistent work schedule for all service staff members
  • Educate and train staff members how to overcome objectives and customer handling skills
  • Assist with the hiring and firing process as needed
  • Set goals and hold staff accountable to them
  • Maintain store goals for both customer experience scores and financial objectives
