Service Advisor Lancaster County Motors Family of Dealerships Lancaster County Motors, a locally owned and operated family of dealerships, is seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our growing service team at one of our dealership locations. Position Summary The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. This role is responsible for accurately documenting customer concerns, recommending maintenance and repairs, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring an exceptional service experience from vehicle drop-off to delivery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of dealership or high-volume service experience preferred
  • Broad automotive mechanical and electrical knowledge preferred
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and dealership software experience a plus)
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and dependable work ethic
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle, and background check

Responsibilities

  • Schedule service appointments and gather customer/vehicle information
  • Greet customers promptly and professionally
  • Accurately document vehicle concerns on repair orders
  • Review service history and recommend maintenance and repairs
  • Provide complete and accurate cost estimates for labor and parts
  • Establish promised completion times and communicate updates throughout the day
  • Obtain proper authorization for additional repairs when necessary
  • Monitor repair progress and maintain communication with customers
  • Review and close repair orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Explain completed work and charges clearly to customers
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and handle concerns professionally
  • Support service marketing efforts and quality control processes
  • Other duties as assigned
