About The Position

In this role you’ll help make key decisions that improve the serviceability of Rivian vehicles. Not only will you be the voice of ADAS serviceability to upstream teams, but you will also be the voice of engineering to downstream teams, ensuring that ADAS serviceability requirements are clear to all groups and able to be met within a service center or mobile environment.

Requirements

  • 1+ years’ experience working on ADAS within the automotive industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • A general understanding of the automotive service process
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across varying geographic locations simultaneously
  • Willingness to work in a strong cross functional environment
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, Quality and suppliers
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for 8-10 hours per day
  • Required to communicate using phone and/or e-mail
  • Ability to view, read, and interpret documents
  • Ability to perform all duties in an office environment that may contain ambient noise and temperature fluctuations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a manufacturing / production environment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Carryout already defined serviceability requirements for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and create new requirements as needed.
  • Work cross-functionally with design teams to ensure our serviceability requirements are met.
  • Track and deliver key serviceability metrics through multiple product launches and continuous improvement through the vehicle lifecycle.
  • Help to define service strategy for ADAS components & sub-assemblies, focusing on not only replacing the part, but also how to get the part working properly on the vehicle after replacement.
  • Train downstream teams on our usage of ADAS and how to properly repair the vehicle as it relates to ADAS.
  • Advocate for those downstream teams back upstream when a serviceability issue arises that needs to be addressed.
  • Work with diagnostic engineering to develop and test service procedures as needed before, during, and after the launch of a product.
  • Ensure that engineering field action repair recommendations can be correctly and repeatedly performed by service technicians
