About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Service Porter to join our team at our high-volume automotive dealership. As a key member of the service department, the Service Porter is responsible for supporting the daily operations by ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of vehicles and maintaining a clean, organized environment. This role includes greeting customers, moving vehicles to and from service areas, assisting technicians as needed, and helping to ensure a positive customer experience from drop-off to pick-up. Ideal candidates are dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Scheduled Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pm Every other Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm (When working a Saturday, you will be given a day off during that week) Full-time, 40 hours/week

Responsibilities

  • Opens vehicle hoods to allow access to engine compartment.
  • Completes battery tests on vehicles.
  • Delivers battery test results to proper location for access by Service Advisor.
  • Places service tag on rear view mirror of vehicles.
  • Moves and parks vehicles as need to keep customer reception area open for new arrivals.
  • Delivers vehicles to technician bays as needed
  • Washes and vacuums vehicles as needed
  • Checks air pressure and fills tires as needed
  • Squeegees and sweeps customer reception area as needed to keep area dry and litter free.
  • Informs Service Advisor of customers that have arrived but have not been greeted yet.
  • Provide basic information to customers as needed.
  • Additional miscellaneous duties as needed.
