About The Position

Federated Co-ops Inc. is looking to hire an additional Sales & Service position to work out of our Isanti Country Store Location. As someone who works in Sales & Service, your responsibility will be to assist customers in purchases and / or services of power equipment. You will verify and keep records on all incoming and outgoing parts, services, and store products. This position will assist in all areas of the retail business. We are looking to hire someone with open availability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Service & Sales include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Parts Clerk Duties: Ascertains make, year and type of part needed, inspects worn, damaged, or defective part to determine replacement required, or advise customer of part needed according to description of malfunction. Reads catalog, or computer for replacement part stock number and price. Fills customer orders from stock. Prepares sales slip or sales contract. Receives payment or obtain credit authorization. Advises customer on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available. Examines returned part to determine if defective, and exchanges part of refunds money. Marks and stores parts in stockroom. Takes inventory of stock. Receiving Duties: Verifies information on shipment against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments reject damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Operates forklift or hand truck to move or hoist shipments from storage to work area. Report to store management with questions, concerns, or problems. Other Duties: Operate a forklift (training provided) to move equipment safely within the facility. Safely fill propane tanks once certified (training provided). Check out customer at register, accept payment and makes change. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older to drive forklift and company vehicles
Valid Class D Driver's License

Nice To Haves

Pervious experience in retail, customer service, or mechanical repair (especially small engines or power equipment) is preferred
Basic mechanical knowledge and comfort working with tools and small engines is preferred
