About The Position

West Central Equipment, the John Deere agriculture and turf equipment dealership in Butler PA, is seeking a skilled Service Technician, specializing in Turf Equipment, to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of lawn & garden equipment, compact tractors, implements and small construction equipment to ensure optimal performance. Requirements

Experience performing repairs and maintenance on lawn & garden tractors, compact tractors, implements & attachments, and skid loaders preferred
Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, lawn & garden and heavy equipment
Experience with basic computer functions; experience using computer-based diagnostic repair tools preferred
Solid communications skills, verbal and writing
Required to have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required; Associates Degree preferred
Must be willing to download company apps on your personal phone

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology
Completes assigned work orders and maximizes billable time
Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed, and on-time submittal of information
Operates tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
Maintains clean work area and performs work in an orderly fashion
Follows safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
