About The Position

The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing commercial roofing systems on low-slope and steep-slope structures. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer service. As a field representative of the company, the Service Technician ensures high-quality workmanship, timely service delivery, and professional interaction with clients at all job sites.

Requirements

Strong troubleshooting and leak investigation experience in commercial roofing.
Working knowledge of low-slope and steep-slope roofing systems and repair techniques.
Experience with roof coatings, sealants, flashing details, and waterproofing applications.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to read work orders and follow detailed instructions.
Proficiencywith hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment.
Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations.
Ability tooperatea smartphone or tablet for job documentation and reporting.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to pass background checks for government or secure facility access (whenrequired).
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum of 2+ years of commercial roof repair experiencerequired.
Valid driver’s license preferred (clean driving record may berequired).
Ability to work at heights and on various roof slopes safely.
Ability to climb, carry, and safely position ladders.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.

Nice To Haves

Rigging and signaling certification a plus.
Leadership or crew supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform all work in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
Inspect commercial roofing systems toidentifyleaks, deficiencies, and repair needs.
Diagnose leak sources and execute effective, long-term repair solutions using compatible materials.
Install, repair, andmaintainvarious commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal, coatings, etc.).
Remove and replace damaged roofing components, including insulation, decking, flashing, and related structural elements.
Accurately measure roof areas and estimate material requirements for service repairs.
Document service findings, take photos, and complete required job reports using company systems or mobile applications.
Safely load, transport, and unload materials and equipment using company vehicles.
Communicate clearly with customersregardingscopeof work, findings, and recommended solutions.
Assistin training or supervising junior crew members when assigned.
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe and workingcondition.
Perform other duties as assigned to support service operations.
