About The Position

SAIC is looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer with specialized focus on Discovery and Integrations, to join our team supporting the Department of Transportation (DOT) Duties: Perform SMS development activities and be proficient in applying the SDLC and DevOps principles Perform implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development with ServiceNow ITSM application suite, and in identified specialty(ies) Perform response and resolution for SMS Job Role: Perform implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development with ServiceNow ITSM application suite, and in identified specialty(ies). Responsible for the design of the DOT Service Management System (SMS) and supporting the SMS operations, to include engineers and the SMS development life cycle. Determine which integration method(s) will be used, integration directionality, and attributes. Participate in any data normalization required prior to being imported / inserted into ServiceNow. Participate in platform, process, and integration testing. Develop and maintain Discovery schedules, pattern usage and the role of other integrations. Fulfill role of Enterprise Integration Manager. Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and services. Deliver new functionality across applications. Manage and perform SMS development activities, supporting the entire development lifecycle. Apply SDLC and DevOps principles. Perform response and resolution for escalated SMS service requests and incidents. Assist the platform administrator with incident resolution. Participate in on-call rotation providing support during non-business hours (nights, weekends, holidays). Shift includes: Rotating On Call

Requirements

  • 12+ years of relevant IT experience, including at least 6 in administration services for a major Service Management System (SMS), preferably ServiceNow.
  • Candidate must be proficient with Discovery and Integrations.
  • Current ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Discovery (CIS-Disco) Certification is required
  • Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder who has resided in the U.S. for at least 3 years and the ability to obtain a public trust.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems (MIS), Computer Science (CS), or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience (6 years of experience in lieu of degree).
  • Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery and Integrations.
  • Experience with the SNMP technologies that support Discovery Patterns.
  • Experience with SOAP/REST-based API integrations.
